Mobile Clinic Donation From IMASA Finally Arrives at IMAZ

The mobile clinic donated in November 2007 finally arrived in Bulawayo after undergoing an engine overhaul and customs clearance.

This great donation will go a long way in enabling IMAZ to reach out to remote areas that do not have immediate access to health facilities.

a. Dr. Sururu drove from Bulawayo to Beitbridge to welcome the clinic.
b. Members welcomed the priceless donation from IMASA.
c. Br. Hassen Esat volunteered to clean the clinic.
d. Iqbal Shah pledged to refurbish the clinic.
e. Lobengula Masjid was suggested to be the pilot project for the mobile clinic.

  1. 28th SEPTEMBER 2008 – FIRST MEDICAL OUTREACH PROGRAMME CONDUCTED AT LOBENGULA MASJID BULAWAYO.
    a. The arrival of the mobile clinic created an opportunity for IMAZ to conduct medical outreach programmes. The Islamic Medical Association of Zimbabwe would therefore at given times leave Al-Shifa clinic and go to the patients. An opportunity for Dawah and a demonstration of Mercy to Mankind.
    b. 208 went through the screening process.
    c. 57 registered for circumcision.
    d. 7 cases were referred to specialists.
    e. Medicines were issued free of charge.
    f. Beneficiaries were happy.
  2. 2nd NOVEMBER 2008 MALE CIRCUMCISION CAMP
    Carried out at Al Shifa clinic Bulawayo.
    a. Dr. Sururu and Dr. Ashmawy conducted the circumcisions at Al Shifa clinic in Bulawayo.
    b. 23 benefited from the camps.
  3. 23RD NOVEMBER 2008 MALE CIRCUMCISION CAMP
    Carried out at Al Shifa Clinic Bulawayo.
    a. Dr. Sururu and Dr. Ashmawy conducted the circumcisions.
    b. 43 benefitted from the camp
  4. 6th DECEMBER 2008 – HOW MINE MEDICAL OUTREACH
    First medical outreach cap outside Bulawayo since the arrival of the Mobile clinic.
    a. 16 patients went through the screening process.
    b. 4 were referred for special attention.
  5. DECEMBER 2008 – RECEIVED DONATION TO SETUP DENTAL CLINIC AT AL SHIFA CLINIC BULAWAYO
    One of the local dentists now resident in Australia donated a full set of dental equipment enough to run a dental clinic. He requested to remain anonymous.

The dental clinic will be set at Al Shifa clinic.
